Well for a very hyped up collection, Unique AW12 was pretty understated. From the muted khaki, white, black and burgundy, the pieces themselves were much more in the spotlight than any crazy patterns and bright colours as soon in some other shows at LFW so far. The make up and hair also reflected this, with nude, fresh faced models rocking centre parted locks. One piece that has been blogged about a lot in the space of the 30 minutes the show has finished are the black, velvet, slouch dungarees, what a beaut! There was a very prominent military undertone to the collection, with the clothing taking the form of being rather lose fifty and slouched this season. One thing that I think must also be noted were the amazing military style boots. The chunky ankle boots, paired with most items in the collection really spoke for themselves and I believe will be replicated pretty soon through the high street. Despite the muted colours the show has demonstrated some delightful and intricate items which lets face it, I would love to own them all!
